Inspiration:
By the late summer in the high Cascade Mountain range, leaves
begin turning gold and the cold taste of winter is in the
morning air. Camping with a friend, I awakened just before
sunrise as the moon was setting behind the mountains on the
edge of Elk Lake. A band of fog balanced just above the surface
of the lake and below the rise of the mountains, kept in place
by a layer of warmer air. A huge blue heron silently flew over
the waters in the margin of clear air just below the fog. The
moon tinted the mist copper. The transition between seasons is
a tenuous segment of great beauty.
Beautiful wildlife bird art inspired by the natural world.
Spiritual art that feeds the soul.
